Guild Wars 2: What is the Hall of Monuments & How Do I?

The achievements and honors accumulated by all the characters on your Guild Wars account are commemorated in the Hall of Monuments, which is only available in Guild Wars: Eye of the North. The monuments in the hall are worth points that can be used to provide your Guild Wars 2 characters with exclusive titles, items, mini-pets, and animal companions. Use the Hall of Monuments Reward Calculator to determine what rewards you’ve unlocked, and discover what other items will be available when Guild Wars 2 launches.

Many Guild Wars players attained titles and accomplished feats that are recorded in the Eye of the North Hall of Monuments. Those achievements will be recognized in Guild Wars 2. The information below will give you details on how to get your Guild Wars 2 rewards.

How do I get my Hall of Monuments rewards?

First, you need to link your Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 accounts. Once you have done that, and providing that you have established a Hall of Monuments in Guild Wars: Eye of the North, then each character on your account will possess a Hall of Monuments Portal Stone in their starting inventory. Take the following steps to claim your rewards:

  1. Use the Hall of Monuments Portal Stone to be transported to the ruins of the Hall of Monuments.
  2. Speak with the NPC named Kimmes the Historian.
  3. Review a list of items for which you have qualified.
  4. Select any you wish to use on this character.
  5. Return to your place of origin by using the Hall of Monuments Portal Stone.

How can I see what I have acquired in my Hall of Monuments?

You can check your accomplishments and rewards in the Hall of Monuments Reward Calculator.

I am having trouble getting my Hall of Monuments rewards.

If you feel that you have earned a reward in Guild Wars that you are not seeing on your Guild Wars 2 account, please consider the following:

  1. Do you own Guild Wars: Eye of the North?
  2. Have you established a Hall of Monuments?
  3. Have you reviewed the Hall of MonumentsReward Calculator?
  4. Are you certain you have registered your achievements in the HoM?
  5. Are your Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 accounts linked?
  6. Have you checked to verify that you earned the particular reward in Guild Wars?

I deleted my Hall of Monuments Portal Stone. What do I do now?

Every character will be given a Hall of Monuments Portal Stone upon creation. If you accidentally delete the Portal Stone, simply create another character to acquire a replacement, then move the stone into your storage for use by any character. Please note that Support cannot create a Portal Stone for you; it is something that you can do via character creation.

For those players that have linked their Guild Wars accounts and do not see a Portal Stone in their inventory, please try the following to obtain a Portal Stone:

  1. In Lion’s Arch, head northwest into Hooligan’s Route.
  2. At the Undermarket Point of Interest, find the charr karma merchant named Scornheart.
  3. View Scornheart’s offerings and, on the second panel, select the Hall of Monuments Portal Stone. The stone is available at no cost.
  4. Use the Portal Stone to access the ruins of the Hall of Monuments.

Can I get Hall of Monuments credits from more than one Guild Wars account?

Only one Guild Wars account can be linked to one Guild Wars 2 account. There is no way to merge accounts or to aggregate Hall of Monuments achievements from multiple accounts.

Can I continue to earn achievements in Guild Wars that will be recognized in Guild Wars 2?

Absolutely! You can continue to expand your Hall of Monuments into the future. With linked accounts, every time you make a new recognized achievement in Guild Wars, your Guild Wars 2 Hall of Monuments (and the Hall of Monuments Rewards Calculator) will update to reflect your new reward.
